The Mikro ACM Air classifier mill from Hosokawa Alpine is one of the most versatile types of size reduction equipment available in the market. Size reduction is a result of the feed product impacting against the rotating grinding elements and against the stationary liner. At beater tip speeds of up to 140 m/s, fineness values of d97 = 10 µm are achieved.

The fines pass through the classifying wheel and exit the mill. The cut point is a function of the classifying wheel speed, which can be adjusted even during operation.

The Zigzag Classifier – MZM and MZF Multi-Plex from Hosokawa Alpine is a gravity classifier for sharp separations in the range d97, approx. 0.3 – 10 mm, with a zigzag geometry of the classifying tube, it comes in two different designs: MZM and MZF.
