The Schugi® Flexomix from Hosokawa Micron is a high-impact mixer developed to achieve a highly homogeneous mixture of powders and liquids. It is unlike any other continuous mixer with its vertical cylindrical chamber and vertical rotating shaft and is capable of handling high volumes of product. Its high rotational speed and turbulent mixing keep the mixer chamber clean; it provides accurate dosing of both liquid and solid components and is suitable for even the stickiest of media. Liquids of varying viscosity and steam can be added using atomizing nozzles mounted to the upper part of the chamber just above the upper mixing blades.

Gentle pressure for granulates with a loose structure and large surface area

With the Bextruder BX from Hosokawa Alpine, the product is gently pressed to granulate with a loose structure and large surface area.

In the product chamber of the Bextruder two rotors operate in counter rotation. The upper rotor ensures good mixture and carries the material downwards. The lower extrusion rotor compresses the material and extrudes it through the screen basket.

The Bextruder is often used in pellets with a porous structure and large surface area, easily dispersible granulate, drinks powder, sauces and soups, detergent, pesticides and so on.

Stores and conditions liquid ingredients for dosing

The tanks for liquids, fats, oils and syrups from Agriflex are monolithic stainless-steel vessels designed for indoor or outdoor installation in food plants. Built as seamless, single-piece structures, they provide hygienic storage for liquid oils, melted fats, glucose syrups and similar ingredients, with minimal risk of leakage.

Tanks are typically equipped with load cells, a control unit and high/low level probes, enabling precise inventory management and automatic dosing into mixers or cookers. Depending on the medium, they can include a heat-exchange jacket with insulation, internal temperature control, and a scraper or agitator sized to maintain homogeneity and avoid fat crystallisation or phase separation.

By integrating these tanks with dosing points and cooling or fermentation systems, you can feed recipes with repeatable quantities of liquid margarine, vegetable oils or sugar syrups while controlling viscosity and temperature. This reduces manual drum handling and improves both hygiene and line uptime.
